OKPATH supports the app. It does not run servers or provide accounts, so for a problem with a server or an account, contact whoever runs it: you or your provider.
Keep your profile private. Do not email your configuration profile unless support asks for it. It contains the credentials for your servers.

Where do I get a configuration?
OkPath Connect does not come with servers. You need a configuration profile for servers you run yourself or for a service from a provider you choose. OKPATH does not provide servers, accounts or configurations.
If you run your own server, you create the profile for it. If you use a provider, the provider gives it to you, usually as a link, a file, a QR code or a web address. Whoever runs the servers can see your IP address, when you connect and how much data you transfer, and the addresses you reach, and their own privacy policy applies.
How do I add my configuration profile?
- Open OkPath. The first time, it shows how the app handles your data. Read it and accept it to continue.
- On the app’s main screen, tap the button that sets up the VPN. When iOS asks to add VPN configurations, tap Allow and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Add your profile, from your own server or the service you use, in one of these ways:
- Import link: tap a link that starts with
okpath-connect://on your iPhone or iPad. OkPath opens and asks whether to import the remote profile. Tap Import, check the details and tap Create. Links made for other apps do not open OkPath; use the profile URL instead. - File or QR code: on the Profile card, tap + to add a profile, then choose Import from File or Scan QR Code.
- Profile URL: on the Profile card, tap +, then choose Create Manually. Enter a name, set Type to Remote, paste the URL and tap Create.
- Import link: tap a link that starts with
- Leave Auto Update on so that changes to your configuration reach the app automatically. If you have more than one profile, choose the one to use on the Profile card.
- Connect with the button on the main screen.
How do I turn the connection on or off?
- In the app: connect and disconnect with the button on the main screen.
- In iOS Settings: turn VPN on or off near the top of Settings, or go to General > VPN & Device Management > VPN. The connection is listed as “OkPath”.
- Control Center: on iOS 18 or later, add OkPath’s Toggle control to Control Center.
- Shortcuts: use the OkPath actions Start Service, Stop Service and Toggle Service.
If OkPath connects by itself, open Settings > On Demand Rules in the app. Always On and Enabled let iOS connect automatically. Choose Disabled to turn that off.
What does the VPN permission prompt mean?
When you set up the VPN in OkPath, iOS shows “OkPath” Would Like to Add VPN Configurations, with a warning that all network activity may be filtered or monitored when using VPN. iOS shows this message for every VPN app.
Tapping Allow lets OkPath create a VPN on your device, and iOS asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode to confirm. While the VPN is on, OkPath sends your traffic only to the servers in your configuration, or directly to its destination where the configuration says so. You or your provider run those servers. OKPATH does not run them, has no access to your traffic and receives no data from the app, and OKPATH does not sell, use or disclose any user data. The Privacy Policy has the details.
If you tap Don’t Allow, OkPath cannot connect until you set up the VPN again. You can remove the VPN configuration at any time in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN, or by deleting the app.
Why does iOS ask about the local network or the camera?
The local network prompt lets the VPN reach local addresses that your configuration routes to, such as a DNS server on your Wi-Fi network. The camera is used only when you scan a profile QR code, and the image never leaves your device. Both permissions are optional.
How do I remove the app and its data?
- Some data: in OkPath, delete a profile from the profile list on the main screen, delete reports under Tools, clear cached files in Settings > App > Clear Cache, or remove the network engine’s working data in Settings > Core > Destroy.
- The VPN configuration only: in iOS Settings, go to General > VPN & Device Management > VPN, tap the info button next to OkPath and tap Delete VPN.
- Everything: touch and hold the OkPath icon on the Home Screen, tap Remove App, then Delete App. This deletes the app’s profiles, settings, logs and reports, and its VPN configuration.
- The beta: to stop receiving builds, open TestFlight, choose OkPath Connect and tap Stop Testing.
OKPATH holds only the TestFlight information Apple shares and the support messages you send. To ask OKPATH to delete them, email privacy@okpath.com. For data on your servers, ask whoever runs them.
How do I send a crash report?
- In OkPath, open Tools and tap Crash Report, then choose the report.
- Tap the share button. Turn on With Log or With Configuration only if support asks, because a configuration contains the credentials for your servers.
- Tap Share and send the file to support@okpath.com.
How do I get new versions?
OKPATH releases new versions through TestFlight. Open TestFlight and tap Update next to OkPath Connect, or turn on automatic updates for it in TestFlight. Each TestFlight build works for up to 90 days, so install new builds when they arrive.
